Committee Charge
- Provide support and assistance to the WVU Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, especially with regard to issues of student support, conduct, and academic integrity.
- Survey faculty with regard to their interest and willingness to serve as advisors to both the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and students engaged with that office.
- Define and implement a process to let faculty advise/mentor students engaged with the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, including the Office of Academic Integrity.
- Participate in annual training on the Student Code of
Conduct; Title IX; the Academic Integrity Policy; and Board of Governor’s Rule 1.6. Working
with various stakeholders (Including, but not limited to, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and Office of Academic Integrity) suggest training for relevant faculty groups and sub-groups.
- Research and report on aspects of faculty involvement in
issues of student conduct at other peer institutions and make recommendations as to faculty
involvement in those issues at WVU based on that research.
- Not less than every five years, review and make suggestions to the Dean of Students about proposed changes/amendments to the WVU Student Code of Conduct.
