Committee Charge
Collaborate with the Libraries on policies, procedures, and services that support the university’s teaching, research and service missions including access to materials, collection development practices, instructional and research services, open access publishing initiatives such as the Research Repository, and funding.
Assist the libraries in advocating for campus-wide approaches to scholarly publishing that will enhance access to and sustainability of published scholarship.
Engage with WVU researchers in all areas of scholarly communications including open access publishing, author rights and copyright, data management, and digital publishing.
Work with the Libraries, Office of Research, Teaching and
Learning Commons, the Provost’s Office and others as may be appropriate to
improve scholarly communication services and initiatives available to instructors
and researchers.
