Committee Charges
Review and recommend policies related to faculty welfare, including workload, compensation, benefits, leave, professional development, workplace conditions, recognition, and institutional support systems.
Examine issues affecting faculty morale, engagement, recruitment, retention, advancement, and career satisfaction.
Review institutional policies and practices related to accessibility, participation, nondiscrimination, and faculty engagement within the academic community.
Promote awareness of barriers that may affect faculty participation and professional success, including barriers related to accessibility, communication, geographic location, caregiving responsibilities, and workplace processes.
Collaborate with relevant University offices and governance bodies to support initiatives that strengthen faculty engagement, professional development, mentorship, leadership opportunities, and workplace climate.
Encourage faculty development opportunities related to teaching, mentoring, leadership, accessibility, and effective academic practices.
Review data, reports, and campus climate information relevant to faculty experiences and provide recommendations for institutional improvement.
Advise the Faculty Senate on emerging issues affecting faculty well-being, institutional culture, and participation in University life.
Promote communication and collaboration among faculty, administration, and shared governance bodies regarding matters affecting faculty welfare and engagement.
